Finished the massive update today, finally. Secured the forums a little bit more and finished the Guinness part of the website. That part of the site gives you the full overview of the whole Guinness fiasco. I am also looking for a forum moderator and we are looking into t-shirts!

September 26, 2009 - 

Haven't updated in a very long time. Let's see...Did anything cool happen? I don't know...Was it that one thing? Hmm...Nooo... How about that other thing? Noo...OH WAIT I REMEMBER! Here's what's happened lately:

On Sunday, September 6, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. in the Grand ABC Ballroom (3rd floor) at the Sheraton, Dragon*Con attempted to beat the Guinness World Record™ for the amount of people simultaneously dancing to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" in a single location! Believe it or not, we had 903 dancers join us in what will soon become (hopefully/possibly) an annual event at Dragon*Con! (Fingers crossed!)

On September 11, 09, the first official video of the record attempt was uploaded for all to see. In one week, we got over 7,500 views! HOWEVER, there were errors with that version including some segments at the wrong pace as well as jerky framerates due to the sorry piece of crap computer I own. August 15, 2009 - As of today at 9:00 A.M., we have already exceeded the amount of people needed to break the current Guinness World Record™! (Assuming all who have signed the "Pledge to Participate" will indeed participate.) So far, 255 people have signed the pledge, surpassing the 242 participants by William and Mary College who hold the current record. Our goal is to double their record and have atleast 500 participants or more! We have 1,000 ribbons for this event, so there's no reason to stop at 500! Let's give away all 1,000 of those ribbons! Not only that, but less than a week before our record attempt, a city in Mexico plans to beat the same record before we do. We can't let this happen! Don't stop recruiting!

August 9, 2009 - The site has been operational 18 days and we've had over 4,200 hits and over 200 users in the forums, with 181 people officially signing the "Pledge to Participate"! With 181 people officially signed up and 25 days remaining before the convention, we are sure to beat the Guinness World Record™! We have made many, many updates to the site and forums in the past couple of weeks including: adding a FAQ section, adding News section, adding a Press section, updating the volunteers, updating the Participation Checklist, and the Official Release Form! Official times and locations have been set for the Rehearsals and Guinness World Record™ Breaking Attempt!
Mandatory to attend atleast one of the two official rehearsals:

or
5:30 P.M., Sunday, September 6, 09 - Atlanta Rooms (1st Floor) Sheraton

In addition to everything already mentioned, a lot of little updates and changes in information have happened all over the site and in the forums. So, make sure to check back often for those details!

July 24, 2009 - Over 1,000 hits in one day and 80 members in the forums. Pretty good for one day, wouldn't yah think! We are currently working on reworking some information as well as other things like: Adding FAQ and News section of the site, Uploading the Official Release Form for download, and much more! Always check the forums for ALL of the info. See you there!

July 23, 2009 - The site finally opens! Still a long way to go, but atleast most of it is up and running. Can't wait to see everyone in the forum!
